I am a 15-year
advertising and marketing veteran with experience that spans a variety
of national and regional accounts. I have a great deal of design
experience in many industries, including consumer goods, automotive,
medical services, law, food and beverages, tourism and real estate.
Plus, I have a string of recent successes in management and supervision.
In 1998,
I launched one of the first Internet development companies in Washington,
DC – Direct Affect.
During my tenure as creative director, I contributed to the development
of over 30 web sites for clients primarily involved with real
estate and tourism. This work has been recognized nationally by
awards shows and the industries themselves.
In 2001, I joined the creative
team at Williams Whittle Associates – one
of Washington's oldest and most distinguished ad agencies. There,
I worked directly with the creative director and shared the responsibility
of day-to-day operations in the creative department. This opportunity
allowed me to flex my muscle in the areas of consumer print, POP
and B2B. Our national clients included Precision Tune Auto Care,
Trusted Choice Insurance and The Today Sponge contraceptive. Memorable
campaigns included work for Jamestown, Virginia's 400th birthday
and launching a dozen or so web sites.
In 2003, I looked to strengthen
my skills in the larger Philadelphia and New Jersey markets. After
freelancing for several area agencies, I joined Apple Vacations/USA
3000 Airlines as a Senior Creative Director. There, I inspired and
created new print ads, direct mail, outdoor and websites for a variety
of clients.
Still, I missed the branding and marketing aspects of
working at a big agency. So, I teamed up with CramerSweeney Advertising
in Philadelphia. As the Creative Director with a small team of designers
and copywriters, I managed all branding and marketing positioning
for a variety of clients in healthcare, law, retail, real estate,
B2B and even the nonprofit sector. Further, I am responsible for
hiring freelance talent, such as illustrators, copywriters, photographers
and production companies.
I also helped launch two sister companies
of CramerSweeney’s – an
interactive firm and an instructional design company. Both
are now very successful in the e-learning industry. For CramerSweeney
Instructional design, I branded, designed and created forums and
list servers that are setting the pace of the e-learning industry.
Also, the interactive arm of CramerSweeney has successfully completed
15 websites and multimedia presentations in the past year.
